(More customer reviews)I first bought the 4th grade level math minutes and used it as morning seat-work for my students. It worked wonderfully at keeping my students busy and enhancing their skills. I love the math minutes so much that I bought 5th and 6th grade level (I teach 6th grade). I am going to start my students out at the beginning of the year with the 4th grade level book and have my students work up to the 6th grade level book.

(More customer reviews)I'm only in the middle of this book, but so far it's great! It's got some great ideas for kids 6-10. I have a 6 year old, so some of these activities are too old. But I know I have them to look forward to! I have 4 year old too, but I know that he can do many of the things with my 6 year old! The subtitle actually says "...6 to 10-Year-Old..." and not 7-9.

Twin Sense: A Sanity-Saving Guide to Raising Twins -- From Pregnancy Through the First Year Review

(More customer reviews)This is a good book for somebody who already has already done some research, taken classes, or has familiarity with raising kids. It is well-organized and provides a quick reference. However, it was not a good fit for me. I do not have older kids, and this is the first book I read on the subject. Too many of the terms the author used were unfamiliar, and the book does not provide a good explanation for them. What is a boppy? How exactly do you swaddle a baby? I found it frustrating to have to read the book practically at my computer, so that I can google all unfamiliar terms. A few pictures or explanations would have gone a long way. I was also annoyed by the constant reminders (practically every other page) to take prenatal classes to really learn the subject in each chapter. I thought the book was supposed to provide the necessary information. I next read the book "Juggling Twins" by Meghan Regan-Loomis. I found it a lot more informative for somebody who is just starting and trying to learn the basics not only when it comes to twins, but to babies in general. In short, in my opinion, if you want a quick reference on important points when raising twins, "Twin Sense" is a good book. If you need more detail, you may want to read something else first, or do some online research on your own.

It enlightens parents to the concept that our children can and should be joyful and that we will become more joyful ourselves in the process. It examines many personalities and methods to appropriately love, nurture and support each. Included, is a very full, but simple and effective list of activities that any loving parent can and will engage in with their child/children. Words cannot express enough how thankful I am to have found such a 'Joyful' Parenting help.

Although you are humorlessly instructed to do the activities in order, repeating the activity-of-the-week daily, the book is still useful in real life. Every few weeks, I flip through the sections for my children's ages and get ideas. The activities are exactly age appropriate- even the ones for young babies. They generally (but not always) use stuff you have around the house. And they are often ideas you might not think of on your own. I have also found that the activities have a good time-enjoyed to clean-up-the-mess time ratio!

(More customer reviews)Hi! I love this book, every activity has a picture, so you know how to do it properly. I love that it does not require to buy tons of toys! One piece of advice though, there are two other Gymboree Play & Music, one for babies, and one for toddlers... buy this book instead of those two, its cheaper, and they have exactly the same!!!
My baby is 3 months old, and ejoys this activities so much!!!! We have a daily schedule to develop different areas!!!! Its a great companion for play time, and I really, really, really recommend it!!!

(More customer reviews)I found this book to be very easy, it contains many crafts that you can do with little supplies, does not take a lot of time, and the kids love it. Also I found the singing and games to be useful for any mother who is trying to find her preschool or early elementary child something to do while they are at home.
Also the singing and games are great family activities.
A great value for the money.
