I bought this book last year while working on a unit plan for my student teaching. I really needed some creative new ideas for teaching literature and I found some really awesome activities! Although this book is recommended for grades k-6, most of the activities are easily adaptable up to grade 8 or higher. I taught two of these lessons with eighth graders last year and they loved them! It is by far the best teacher resource book I own-- and I have many.

This book helped me start teaching first grade after teaching the intermediate grades for many years. It gives suggestions for management and for teaching. I have re-read this book over and over. Each time, I find something new because I am becoming more and more comfortable with my new grade level. This is a wonderful book for new teachers or grade-level changing teachers.
