(More customer reviews)I just looked over the book to see what I could use for next year. Teaching K-6 in the library, this book is geared towards PK to K only and the lessons seem time-intensive to set up. Don't get me wrong, they are great ideas but you have to be prepared to devote a lot of time to making puppets for the class, getting the books, setting up an overhead, singing the songs, sending letters home to parents, etc. And this only applies to the Kinders and I am still left with 1st through 6th. I can only sing about half the songs to the familiar tunes, the others are not so easy and I am stumbling over matching the new verses to the original songs. There are great graphics to print out if you want to expand your puppet collection and there is a lesson on Caldecott Medals. The Pets to Ponder is an art lesson and I will use that for art class. I think you could get this book to add to your collection of resources but be aware of the prep involved which includes copying, cutting, coloring, laminating and gluing puppets. I may try one set for this year and another set for next year and so one. If you had a lot of volunteers, you could do this.
